Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DevToolbox and the devtoolbox.me website ("Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

DevToolbox offers 60+ free browser-based developer tools: formatters and minifiers, hash generators, encoders, number and unit converters, string utilities, image compressors, and more ("Generated Output"). The Services are provided free of charge and do not require registration.

Your Content and Your Rights

You retain all rights to the data you process. Your files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.
Generated Output belongs to you. Formatted code, hashes, converted values, compressed images, and other outputs you create with our tools are yours to use for any purpose, including commercial use.
You are responsible for your input. Do not process data you are not permitted to handle, including confidential or copyrighted material you lack rights to.
We claim no ownership over your input or Generated Output, and we store neither.

Advertising

The Services are funded by advertising. By using the site you acknowledge that:

Ads may be displayed on pages, served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense.
Ad vendors may use cookies to personalize or measure ads, as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Ad placements are clearly distinguishable from the site's own tools and content.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Services in violation of any applicable law
Process data containing illegal content, including material that exploits minors
Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Services
Interfere with or manipulate the advertising that funds the Services (e.g., automated ad clicks)
Scrape or republish the site's text content, brand assets, or tool interfaces at scale

Intellectual Property

The website itself — its design, code, text, and branding — is owned by DevToolbox and protected by applicable law. Your input data and Generated Output (as defined above) are excluded and remain yours.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Tool results (hashes, conversions, minified code, compressed images) are provided for convenience — verify critical results before relying on them in production.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevToolbox shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Services.

Changes to the Services and Terms

We may modify or discontinue any tool at any time, and may update these Terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
